A blend of East Coast, New England, and the Midwest, I currently reside in Columbus, Ohio. I bring a stuffed backpack of experiences into the classroom with me, including stints as a ballet dancer, restaurant server, alternative weekly arts editor, quarterly food magazine editor, NEH fellow, poetry lover, pet mom, avid reader, writer, and film-goer. I love ferreting out under-reported stories to share with students, as such articles bring new perspectives and vicarious-experiences to the teenagers.
