Dr. Emerald Christopher-Byrd is an adjunct lecturer at Georgetown University whose research explores the social and political perspective of marginalized women domestically and internationally.
Drawing on examples from interpersonal relationships and institutional violence, Christopher-Byrd examines the cultural politics of race, class, gender and sexuality to better understand how they intersect with public policy and social institutions.
