Jessica Wanke

Jessica Wanke is a multimedia reporter, with experience in print, radio and online. She has worked for The Arizona Republic, National Public Radio and BBC News.

Jessica gained journalism experience in an overseas conflict zone while working for the National Public Radio bureau in Jerusalem from 2006 to 2007. There she helped produce news and feature stories in Israel and the West Bank.

Her most recent work was as an associate producer for BBC News, in the network's New York and United Nations bureaus.

She is currently pursuing a Master of International Affairs at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. Her current studies focus on international security policy. She also holds a certificate in Middle East regional studies.

Jessica is a founding director and board member for Community Outreach and Advocacy for Refugees (COAR), the non-profit organization that helped resettle Dost Mohammad's family in the U.S.
