Lindsay Palmer

Lindsay Palmer is an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research on global media focuses on subjects including digital war reporting, local translators and guides, and virtual reality news stories on international human rights issues. Palmer is the author of two books, Becoming the Story: War Correspondents since 9/11 (2018) and The Fixers: Local News Workers and the Underground Labor of International Reporting (2019). She has two more upcoming book projects. Palmer teaches courses on global news networks, gender and sexuality in the media, theories of global communication, and cultural studies. Prior to entering academia, Palmer worked as a television news producer.
