Bill Varian

Bill Varian is the business editor for the Tampa Bay Times and also oversees much of its environmental coverage. He is the Times' point person on the Florida Climate Reporting Network, a multi-newsroom collaboration documenting the effects of climate change on one of the most vulnerable states in the nation. Before becoming an editor, Varian spent several years writing about Hillsborough County government and politics. He previously worked for papers in Tallahassee, Augusta, Ga. and Burlington, N.C.
