Alexandra Poolos

Alexandra Poolos has over nine years of international reporting experience. She covered the Balkans for Radio Free Europe, reporting on the Kosovo conflict and the fall of Slobodan Milosevic. She reported political analysis on the region for the Wall Street Journal, the Christian Science Monitor and Newsday. She was the managing editor for Womens eNews, traveling to Rwanda to report on development a decade after the genocide. Her work was featured on NPRs Talk of the Nation. She has also written for abcnews.com and the American Prospect. Most recently, Alexandra is reporting for Frontline/World on the state of press freedom in Russia. Her Kyrgyzstan project has also been reported for Frontline/World, as well as other print outlets.
