Joshua Bennett has over 15 years of experience working in film and television production, and has produced shoots in over 35 countries and on all 7 continents. He is currently the Executive Vice President of Show of Force, a New York-based media company, where he produced the award-winning TV series and transmedia campaign Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide with Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, and the follow up series A Path Appears. He has recently produced Soundbreaking an 8-hour PBS series on the history of recorded music in partnership with Sir George Martin, which features over 150 legendary music artists and producers. His projects have won The Television Academy Honors Awards, The Peabody Award, and multiple Emmy and Real Screen Awards. In addition to film and television he has extensive experience producing commercials, new media and viral social media campaigns. Joshua has recently completed ground-breaking global media campaigns in support of women and girls with both USAID and The World Bank. He has produced programming for PBS, HBO, MTV, Discovery, A&E, and The Sundance Channel as well as numerous music videos, independent shorts, experimental works and corporate and industrial pieces for a wide range of clients. He is a passionate advocate for the power of media to inspire positive social change and is committed to telling stories that give a voice to people who are actively working to support vulnerable populations across the globe.
