Lauren Williams is an Australian journalist with eight years experience working in the Middle East. She has written extensively about the Syria conflict and the fallout form the Arab Spring. In Australia, Lauren's work focusses on Islamic fundamentalism, counter terror legislation and the Muslim community. He work has appeared in The Guardian, The Telegraph, Al Jazeera America, Al Jazeera English, The Saturday Paper, USA Today, The National, The Australian and others. Lauren also works as a consultant analyst with the Lowy Institute for International Policy on the threat posed by ISIS.
