Liz Mak is a multimedia journalist and radio producer living in Oakland, California. She produces stories at the public radio show and podcast Snap Judgment, from WNYC. Previously, she reported at KALW in San Francisco, and her work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, PRI's The World and NPR.
Liz's stories have taken her across the globe, from Beijing to the remote Anambas Islands in Indonesia to Standing Rock in 2016. Her interest lies in first-person narratives, with a focus on cultural identity and human rights.
