Shona Barton-Negreiros

EDUCATION INTERN

Shona Barton-Negreiros is an education intern at the Pulitzer Center and a recent alumna of the University of Connecticut (UConn), where she studied Communications and Human Rights. She is passionate about education equity and is interested in pursuing a career in Urban Planning & Community Development, with a focus on how education impacts communities. She just completed a year of service with City Year which is an AmeriCorp program centered on near-peer small-group academic support. During her time at UConn she also participated in other mentorship and educational programs, such as UConn First Year Experience, Big Brother Big Sister, America Reads, and Jumpstart. She is from Boston, MA.
