Thierry Kalonji Kalonga
Thierry Kalonji Kalonga has practiced environmental journalism in the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 2013. He was born in Lubumbashi on June 28, 1987, and graduated with a degree in communications from Information and Communication Sciences University College (IFASIC).
He is editor-in-chief at Environews-RDC, a publication where he's worked since 2013, and he is passionate about the environment. He has produced several audiovisual and print media reports on topics such as forests, biodiversity, climate change, sanitation, and pollution, among others.
He considers tenacity, meticulousness, determination, punctuality, and rigor to be the key words of his professional life. He won first place in the Forests competition organized by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in 2019.
