Sara Maamouri

Sara is a Tunisian-born documentary filmmaker and editor based in San Francisco. She began her career working for several Frontline documentaries as well as the Academy-Award nominated Promises and The Future of Food. Recent projects include ITVS-LINCS awardee, The Music's Gonna Get You Through, directed by Gabrielle Mullem and premiered in Spring 2010. She most recently edited the Cyprus documentary In This Waiting, a feature length film which tells the stories of seven Cypriots of either Turkish or Greek origin, who have lost loved ones in the civil war in 1974 and are just now beginning to learn of their fates. In This Waiting premiered at Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in March 2011. She is currently producing Transmedia Project: Burned as well as co-producing the documentary Tunisia 2.0.
