Sriram Vittalamurthy

Sriram Vittalamurthy is an award-winning independent photographer and journalist with 20 years of experience, specializing in immersive multimedia storytelling. He was the cinematographer for Seeds of Light, bringing an intimate visual approach to the film’s exploration of community-based mental healthcare in India.
His work has received One World Media Award, Online Journalism Awards, Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) Awards, Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) Award, and New Media Writing Prize. His work has appeared in the Financial Times, Rest of World, London Evening Standard, The Wire, Mint, FactorDaily, and Fountain Ink, among other publications.
He holds an undergraduate degree in computer science engineering and a postgraduate diploma in TV journalism. He is based in Bengaluru, India.
