Sonia Samantaroy
W&M REPORTING FELLOW
Sonia Samantaroy is a junior at William & Mary, double majoring in environmental science and geology. Her interests lie at the intersection of science, communication, environmental policy, and the natural world.
On campus, she is a lead tutor at TutorZone and serves as vice president of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship. She has co-authored a published action and adventure children's novel and is passionate about making scientific research accessible.
Her senior geology research focuses on radon in southeastern Virginia, and she plans to pursue a career in environmental consulting after graduation.
