Dominic Polidor
REPORTING FELLOW
Dominic Polidor is a junior history major with a minor in pre-law at Huston-Tillotson University. He is a 2025 Pulitzer Reporting Fellow and his project is titled "Echoes of Africa: Afro-Portuguese Stories of Struggle, Pride, and Resistance." The purpose of his project is to highlight and examine the enduring scars of Portugal’s colonial past. In addition, he will showcase the pride and innovation Afro-Portuguese communities have cultivated to preserve their African traditions while balancing national identity.
The project story will also explore both historical and contemporary resistance efforts led by Afro-Portuguese people to challenge racist laws and policies enacted by the Portuguese government.
