Every second, one person in India dies from a non-communicable disease such as heart attack, diabetes, cancer and depression. These diseases were commonly known among developed countries, but are now affecting developing countries with increasing frequency. To compound the problem, many people in poor countries do not know they have the disease or they do not have the means to seek treatment.
