Herbert L. White

Herbert L. White, The Charlotte Post's editor-in-chief, joined the publication in 1987 as a general assignment reporter. During his tenure, The Post has been acknowledged as one of the nation's top community newspapers, winning General Excellence awards from the North Carolina Press Association (NCPA) in 2016 (first place) and 2004 (third place).
The Post earned NCPA's top prize in enterprise reporting (2021) for a Pulitzer Center-supported series on barriers facing formerly incarcerated people upon their release.
