Ana Magalhães is a journalist graduated from PUC-Minas, with a post-graduate degree in Literary Journalism and a Master's degree in Political Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Currently the journalism coordinator at Repórter Brasil, she has also worked for newspapers such as Folha de S.Paulo, Agora, and O Tempo, and collaborated with Trip and Época São Paulo magazines, among others.

Magalhães was a finalist for the Creative Brazil Award for Calle2 magazine and for the 40th Vladimir Herzog Award for her coordination in the Ruralômetro 2018 project.

She has been working in independent journalism since 2015.
