The Maine Morning Star in partnership with the Pulitzer Center has published a 3-part investigative series by independent journalist Marina Schauffler examining the prevalence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in and from firefighting, particularly in the use of foam known as AFFF and in firefighter turnout gear. The video overview features Jim Graves, training director at the Maine Fire Service Institute.
