Matt Hofmann
2025 REPORTING FELLOW
Matt Hofmann is a multimedia journalist and visual storyteller specializing in photojournalism, copywriting, and digital content strategy. With a journalism degree from the University of Arkansas and a master’s candidacy in multimedia, photography, and design at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Matt’s work encompasses editorial journalism, documentary photography, and immersive visual storytelling. He is passionate about environmental storytelling, using his work to shed light on the lasting impacts of pollution, climate change, and ecological injustice.
This student Reporting Fellowship was supported by the Pulitzer Center thanks to a grant from the IV Fund, focused on mental well-being in the United States.
