Fanny Clonch

TEACHER FELLOW

Fanny Clonch has dedicated the past twenty years to teaching French in Chicago, inspiring students to explore language as a gateway to culture and global citizenship. She serves as an executive member of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) Chicago and Northern Illinois Chapter, where she helps promote the study of French and Francophone cultures across the region. Fanny also sponsors both the French Honor Society and the National Honor Society at her school and is the editor of L’Élan, the national bulletin of the French Honor Society. A Fund for Teachers Fellow, Fanny received a grant to volunteer at a baby rhino orphanage in South Africa—an experience that deepened her commitment to global learning, conservation, and service. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading, traveling, and volunteering, always seeking opportunities to connect with people and stories around the world.
