Juan Forero

Juan Forero was for seven years The Washington Post's South America correspondent, based in Bogota, Colombia. He wrote from more than 10 countries about politics, the economy, the drug war and culture and arts. He previously was the Andean bureau chief for The New York Times, and has also worked in Latin America for NPR. In 2012, Juan was awarded the Maria Cabot Moors prize for outstanding coverage in Latin America. He is a native of Bogota, Colombia.
