#AmazonTalks: Deforestation and the Future of the Shihuahuaco, the Ancient Tree of the Peruvian Amazon

#AmazonTalks webinars are a virtual space to connect journalists, Indigenous leaders, and decision makers with young audiences in a discussion format about the challenges that the future of the Amazon presents.

For this edition, the main topic will be illegal deforestation in the Peruvian Amazon, inspired by the reports on the overexploitation of an ancient tree, the Shihuahuaco, by Amazon RJF grantee Susana Lay.

In this webinar, we can share experiences and views on the problem of deforestation from diverse voices and share their reflections in an exchange of knowledge to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable consumption of resources such as timber.
