Claire Potter

2020 REPORTING FELLOW AND PULITZER CENTER ALUM

Claire Potter is an environmental journalist based in New York. With the support of Report for America, she was the first environmental journalist at the Valley News, a daily newspaper that covers the Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. In 2021, she graduated from the University of Chicago summa cum laude with a degree in literature and history. There, she co-founded and edited Expositions, an undergraduate publication for environmental journalism. She has also covered the 2019 primaries in Iowa for ABC Politics and researched Cézanne for the Art Institute of Chicago. She is also a former Pulitzer Center intern.
