Cynthia Barnett

Cynthia Barnett is the director of Climate and Environment Reporting Projects at the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications.
She is an award-winning author and journalist who reports on water and climate change around the world. Her books include Rain: A Natural and Cultural History and The Sound of the Sea: Seashells and the Fate of the Oceans, both named among the best science books of the year by NPR's Science Friday.
Her new book underway is The Sea Beneath Us: The Secret History and Coming Crisis of Groundwater.
