Hani Zaitoun

Hani Zaitoun is a senior at Davidson College in North Carolina majoring in political science and minoring in economics. His prior experience includes a variety of internships and freelance work with major media outlets including CNN, The Washington Post, and the German Die Zeit. Zaitoun has spent spring semester 2019 in London at the War Studies department at King's College London focusing on different classical and modern warfare theories and defense strategies. Born and raised in Damascus, Syria, Zaitoun has also lived in Stuttgart and Berlin, Washington D.C., and most recently, London. His interests include defense, energy, immigration, and the political economy of democratic transitions. Zaitoun speaks fluent English, Arabic, and German.
