Paris Achenbach

PULITZER CENTER ALUM

Paris Achenbach recently graduated from Oberlin College, where she studied geology and English. Outside of classes she pursued her interest in journalism as a writer for Oberlin's science magazine, environmental magazine, and alumni magazine. She also wrote news stories and was a student blogger for the Oberlin website. Paris received a school grant in her last Winter Term at Oberlin to study the impact of copper mining in Arizona, and recorded stories through photography and writing. In a time when the journalism industry is short-funded and unstable, Paris is excited to join an organization dedicated to investigating world issues, particularly on stories that fuse social issues with those relating to science and the environment.
