Christie Aschwanden is an award-winning freelance writer and journalist based in western Colorado. She is a contributing editor for Health magazine and a contributing writer for Skiing. Her work has appeared in more than 40 publications, including Science, National Wildlife, Readers Digest, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times and O, The Oprah Magazine. She is a member of the National Association of Science Writers, American Society of Journalists and Authors and the Society of Environmental Journalists.
