Christian Belanger

Christian Belanger is an undergraduate at the University of Chicago studying philosophy. He is managing editor of the South Side Weekly, a nonprofit newspaper covering the South Side of Chicago. He writes and edits mainly about politics, with a particular interest in the politics of economic development.
Born and raised in Denmark (and therefore possessed of the relatively useless ability to speak Danish), Christian went to middle and high school just outside of Philadelphia. Apart from his interest in journalism, he tutors at an urban squash organization, plays club soccer, and enjoys riding the buses and trains of Chicago's public transportation system.
