Ariene Susui is a member of the Wapichana people, Truaru da Cabeceira Indigenous community, Truaru Indigenous Land, in Roraima, Brazil. Since the age of 14, she has been active in the Indigenous movement for the participation of young people and women in political, environmental, and educational discussions.

She has a degree in social communication—journalism from the Federal University of Roraima and a master's degree in communication from the same university.

She was the communications adviser for the Indigenous Council of Roraima and the communications technician for the Coordination of Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon (Coiab).
