Megan Botel

Megan Botel is a Bay Area native and journalism master's student at the University of Southern California, where she focused on text and radio reporting about health, religion, and the environment. At USC, she was the health reporter for Ampersand, the student-run arts and culture magazine, and her freelance work was published in various local and national outlets. In 2014, she earned a bachelor's degree at New York University, where she studied environmental studies and creative writing. Megan is interning at The Times as a reporter on the COVID-19 special project team, in partnership with USC Annenberg.
