Ming Jin is an elementary educator and AI Task Force Co-Lead at Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School, a public IB Primary Years Programme Mandarin immersion charter school in Washington, D.C. She works at the intersection of classroom teaching, education systems design, and responsible technology integration, with a focus on human-centered, equity-driven approaches to AI in elementary education.
As co-lead of her school's AI Task Force, Jin develops governance principles, usage guardrails, and community engagement structures that prioritize educator agency, transparency, and trust. She has facilitated inquiry-based AI literacy lessons for young learners, organized educator visits to industry partners, and led community forums that bring students, teachers, and families into critical conversations about how AI shapes learning and opportunity.
Jin holds a master’s in international relations and international political economy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She believes education is one of humankind's most powerful tools for reducing inequality — and that the choices made about AI in schools today will shape equity, safety, and opportunity for generations to come.
