Beth Gardiner

Beth Gardiner is a London-based environmental journalist and the author of Choked: Life and Breath in the Age of Air Pollution. Choked was named one of The Guardian’s Best Books of 2019, and was a finalist for the (U.S.) National Association of Science Writers’ Science in Society book award.

Her work has appeared in outlets including The New York Times, The Guardian, HuffPost, Scientific American, and Yale Environment 360.

Gardiner, a three-time Pulitzer Center Fellow, was a reporter in the Associated Press' New York and London bureaus before becoming a freelancer.
