Bettie K. Johnson Mbayo is a Liberian journalist, with over nine years of experience in  journalism. She currently works as a freelance journalist and a communication consultant.

As Senior Reporter, she has investigated and reported at least 6 major scandals involving major security institutions in Liberia, which has placed her in harms way with those involved.   Her thematic areas of focus womens issues, politics and writing on the judiciary or security system of Liberia. Her career took a national stage when she started working as a reporter at FrontPage Africa, where she was nominated for the Thomson Reuters Young Journalism Fellowship and the Media Foundation for West Africa-Anti-Corruption award.

Johnson-Mbayo has won over six awards from the Press Union of Liberia

She is currently a master's student at the Cuttington Graduate School and has several local and international certificates.
