Cícero Pedrosa Neto is a journalist, sociologist, photographer, and documentary filmmaker focused on issues related to mining and conflicts in the Amazon involving large corporations and traditional populations. Since 2018, he has collaborated as a multimedia reporter for the Agência Amazônia Real (Amazônia Real—Agency for Independent Journalism and Investigations) and has collaboratively produced radio content for international broadcasters such as Radio France Internationale and Deutsche Welle. In 2019, he was one of the journalists awarded the 41st Vladimir Herzog Prize for Amnesty and Human Rights in the multimedia category with the series Without Rights: The Face of Social Exclusion in Brazil, a result of a partnership between independent digital media #Colabora, Ponte Jornalismo, and the Amazônia Real.
