David Kortava is an editor at Foreign Affairs. Previously, he was on the editorial staff of The New Yorker, where he also contributed articles on a wide range of subjects. His writing has also appeared in The Nation, Harper’s Magazine, and The New York Times Book Review.
Kortava was born in Tbilisi, grew up mostly in New Jersey, studied international affairs at Columbia University, and served in the Peace Corps in South Africa. He now lives in Brooklyn.
