She is a second-year student at Harry S Truman College—one of the City Colleges of Chicago, where she actively participates in student activities and is a member of the Social Justice Club. Dayanna's major is Criminal Justice, and she aspires to be a criminal defense attorney. She plans to transfer to a four-year institution after her time at Truman College to continue her education journey on her path to law school, internships and a legal career. Dayanna loves new challenges and looks forward to a positive experience with her reporting opportunity with the Pulitzer Center.
