Isabela Alves Mercuri is a journalist based in Cuiabá (Mato Grosso), but who hails from São Bernardo do Campo (São Paulo).
Mercuri has worked at Olhar Direto, one of the largest websites in Cuiabá, for seven years. She has contributed to the cultural journalism section and now specializes in political and city coverage, in addition to working in the assistant editor's office.
She completed studies for her bachelor's degree at the Federal University of Mato Grosso, and also studied at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Canada. She also has a master's degree in social anthropology from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMT).
Mercuri produced and edited the documentary Puta porque sim: quando a prostituição é feminismo and has experience with audiovisual media and press relations.
