John Upton

Working closely with researchers in academia, at Climate Central, and elsewhere, John Upton leads journalism partnerships with local and national print, radio, television, and digital news outlets. He joined Climate Central in 2012 as a senior science writer, and his coverage of bioenergy received an Online News Association award and was a finalist for the John B. Oakes Award for distinguished environmental journalism. He has degrees in science and business and well over a decade of local, national, and international journalism experience.
