Kasia Strek

Kasia Strek is a Polish photojournalist based between France and Poland. She is member of the Panos Pictures photo agency.
Strek has won several international prizes and scholarships, including the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation Grant, Visa Pour l’Image Camille Lepage "On Est Ensemble" prize, the National Geographic Society’s Emergency Fund for Journalists, and the IWMF Courage in Journalism Award for Ukraine coverage as part of The Washington Post team.
She documents worldwide news and the broader consequences of unfolding events on communities that were directly impacted by them. Strek's personal work focuses on subjects related to social inequalities, environmental issues, and women’s rights.
Her work has been shown at exhibitions worldwide, and she has worked with several global media outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, TIME, and EL Pais.
