Rachel May is a third-year law student at Howard University, and a former educator. After earning her bachelor’s from the University of Michigan with a major in psychology and a minor in Afro-American studies, she moved to Miami, where she taught primary-aged students through Teach for America. She then returned to her hometown of Washington, D.C., to teach kindergarten in a Title I charter school. In law school, May has been an active member and leader in the Education Law Society, and has focused her studies on youth justice, alternative dispute resolution, and family law. May looks forward to using her legal knowledge to continue to drive change in the education arena.
