Originally from the Sultanate of Oman, Salima is a junior at Northwestern University in Qatar where she is completing a degree in journalism. She graduated from The Sultan's School in Oman where she received her International Baccalaureate diploma. Salima is interested in pursuing print and radio journalism after graduating from Northwestern. She is passionate about reporting on women's rights issues in the Middle East and on refugees around the world. She recently completed a documentary on refugees struggling to obtain healthcare in Jordan. Salima served as a Pulitzer Center intern during the spring semester of 2012.
