Sam Dier
POST-GRAD REPORTING FELLOW
Sam Dier is Post-Graduate Reporting Fellow at the Pulitzer Center and a Luminary Podcast Fellow for WBEZ Chicago. Prior to WBEZ, Sam was a graduate journalism student at Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism. She served as a chair member for the Graduate Student Academic Council at the Northwestern Prison Education Program, which provides a high-level liberal arts education to incarcerated students in Illinois. Sam's Pulitzer Center fellowship piece, "A Shadow Population in a Post-Roe America," investigates the landscape of abortion access for incarcerated individuals in Illinois and surrounding states. Her reporting prompted state-wide policy change in Illinois.
