Sofie Isenberg
REPORTING FELLOW
Sofie Isenberg is an audio producer, writer, and researcher working across media. Her recent work spans interview and narrative podcasts, documentaries, animation, and long-form writing.
Previously, she spent several years at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, where her work focused on the causes and solutions to various forms of social inequality.
In addition to studying journalism at Boston University, where she was a 2020 WBUR fellow, she holds a master's degree in the anthropology of learning and cognition from the London School of Economics, where she wrote a prize-winning thesis on the empathetic processes that shape human cooperation and communication.
As an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, she studied literature, religions, and folklore.
The stories Isenberg wants to tell are stories about how we change, how our ability to evolve through culture as well as biology is at the core of who we are as a species.
