REPORTING FELLOW
Tanesha Golding is a Jamaican-American journalist, researcher, and graduate student at Columbia University studying negotiation and conflict resolution. She graduated from Spelman College in 2025 with a bachelor's in philosophy. At Spelman, she was a Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow and an Arthur Liman Undergraduate Fellow.
Her work explores poverty, inequality, race, gender, migration, public policy, and human rights, with a particular interest in how structural conditions shape the lives and opportunities of marginalized communities. As a Pulitzer Center Spelman Reporting Fellow, Golding reported from Ghana on the relationship between poverty and adolescent pregnancy. She examined access to education and healthcare, gender expectations, and economic vulnerability in communities including Doboro and Accra, both in Ghana.
Golding is particularly interested in using research and storytelling to examine systems that shape people’s lives while centering their dignity and resilience.
