Thomaz Pedro is a documentary filmmaker, professor, and researcher.

A director and photographer in the audiovisual market, Pedro has worked for MTV and Canal Arte 1. He has freelanced in productions for major producers in Brazil.

He directed the short documentaries Tião Paineira (2012), Osiba Kangamuke (2016), Terminal 3 (2017), and Surará: a fight for the Tupinambá land (2017), which were shown in different festivals in Brazil and abroad.

His films have been recognized at the Sesc Film Festival, Festival Visões Periféricas, among others.

Pedro holds a master's degree in communication from PUC-SP and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of São Paulo (USP), researching Indigenous audiovisual production in Alto Xingu. He has hosted audiovisual workshops in the Alto Xingu region since 2015.

Previously, he was a film professor at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi and at Centro Universitário Senac.
