Todd Melby is the weekend editor at MPR News. He has worked as a reporter, editor, and podcast producer.
He was the lead producer for Black Gold Boom, a multimedia project on North Dakota's oil boom. Spirit and Body Willing: Sex Over Age 70 and Death’s Footprint, radio documentaries he co-produced with Diane Richard, won national Edward R. Murrow awards.
In 2021, his book about the movie Fargo was published. A Lot Can Happen in the Middle of Nowhere: The Untold Story of the Making of Fargo explores how the Coen Brothers made their masterpiece.
