Tracy L. Barnett is an independent writer, editor, and photographer specializing in environmental issues, Indigenous culture, and human rights.
She is the founding editor of The Esperanza Project, a bilingual magazine highlighting solutions journalism and the voices of front-line defenders and environmental innovators throughout the continent. She is a longtime adviser to and the interim editor of Intercontinental Cry.
Her freelance work has appeared in media outlets ranging from The Washington Post and Yes! Magazine to Earth Island Journal, USA TODAY, Reuters, and Esquire Latin America.
