Sydney Smith

Sydney Smith is a third-year law student at the University of Miami. Prior to fulfilling her dream of attending law school, she graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor of science in 2017. Smith is passionate about bringing social justice issues to the forefront of everyday conversations. She currently serves as the editor-in-chief of the Race & Social Justice Law Review, which is committed to the promotion of scholarly articles that address the issues that affect communities of color, as well as other groups affected by social injustice. Smith hopes that The 1619 Project Law School initiative will foster needed educational conversations throughout all law schools.
