Gleilson Miranda has been a photojournalist for almost 30 years. He believes that through his work, he has told some of the history of Acre, Brazil, and the Amazon.

Having worked for newspapers and traveling the world, Miranda was the first professional to photograph the isolated Indigenous people of Acre, in the region of the Upper Envira River, in Jordão, on the border with Peru.
